2008 SCHOLARSHIPS

Rob Ferguson received a $1,500 scholarship from Hunter Fife representing Dow AgroSciences. Rob is working towards a M.S. in Agronomy at LSU Alexandria, Dean Lee Research Station. His major professor is Dr. Sandy Stewart, and his project is wheat/cotton double-crop production systems. Rob plans to continue his studies to obtain a Ph.D. Congratulations, Rob!

Latha Bommireddy, a Research Associate/Grad Assistant in the Department of Entomology at LSU received a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by United Phosphorous and LACA. Congratulations, Latha!

Cade Lejeune received a $1,500 scholarship from Dow AgroSciences and LACA. Congratulations, Cade!

Cade LeJeune is a junior at LSU majoring in Human Resource Education and Agricultural Education. His major professor is Dr. Curt Friedel. Cade expects to student teach next spring and graduate in May 2009. With his degree, he intends to teach either middle or high school agriscience in south Louisiana, and soon thereafter begin working on a master�s degree. Cade has been very active with FFA since high school, serving as the State FFA President from 2005-2006, and is currently a student assistant with the Louisiana FFA State Office in Baton Rouge. Cade’s ultimate goal after teaching for several years is to work exclusively with FFA on either the state or national level.
